This does not apply to our house. Our felines are far too aware of who the source of food is and are far too sensible to terminate the source of so much joy.
That said, their late night penchant for wind sprints and destruction of personal property has intensified now that the weather has gotten colder. Oh, and the singing & trilling to each other. See Maine Coons never meow at each other – Coon Talk (TM) consists solely of trills and brrrrruts. And it can be incessant. At midnight. It’s going to be a long winter.
