First of all, I am closing in on 90,000 words and with a little concentration and less distractions I should be able to pass that mile marker in a few days.
We spent a long weekend in the Twin Cities. My back went out the morning we left and plagued my ass all weekend. Plus I had a wretched cold. But nonetheless we saw a LOT of friends, hit an apple orchard with The Pharmacists, delivered a massive amount of frozen ND beef to my nephew, and did some intense shopping. Intense? Well, winter is coming so this was the last big opportunity to stock up at Costco, Trader Joe’s, etc. Carjo found her beloved Mexican Coca Cola at Costco and I scored big on microbrews at Blue Max in Burnsville (see the beer section of the main site for the tally). And I think I have enough Trader Joe’s cereal to last until spring. Sassy, thanks for putting us up. And KW, if you’re reading this, your boy is sound asleep and content.
Now we’re home, the wind is 50 mph with rain, and all the pets are safe and warm inside. And I shall now continue writing. A company of commandos has just ridden into town and hell is certainly following with them…

It was so good to see you both. There is nothing like being with good friends. 90,000! You rock!
