This Day in Nerd History

This Day in Nerd History

Here’s the latest Amazon buy, arranged on my laptop. Two books, two boxes of Nag Champa (for that 70s record store aura), and a wee little Sandisk that was half price. I have heard nothing but praise about these two books and am very excited to add them to the ever-mounting reading pile. You should add them to yours.

This will probably be it for a couple months as far as new books go. Daniel Abraham has a couple releases (one with Ty Franck under the James S. A. Corey moniker) coming in a couple months and then there the new Neil Gaiman. It was just announced today that Scott Lynch’s Republic of Thieves will finally see the light of day in October and that is big news indeed. We saw Scott give a reading at Dreamhaven Books in Minneapolis aeons ago when The Lies of Locke Lamora was released. If you get a chance to see him on tour, do so. It’s been a rough ride for him to get this into print and he deserves the support.

That’s all for today. I got my own words and worlds to make up. Nerd on.
