April snows are not unusual for this part of the world. A few years ago we got blasted with a monster storm right at the end of April. High winds and heavy snow took out the power for several counties and we sat in the dark for at least 48 hours. No furnace, no lights, coolers full of perishables sitting on the back step. So I’ll take a couple inches that I know will melt off in a day of two. North Dakota winter teaches patience if nothing else. Here’s the view from the man cave.
