As I have noted before, there are feral cats in our neighborhood. Some of the neighbors (and my wife) do their best to manage the problem. The males were trapped and taken to farms. The females and their kittens are harder to trap but there’s been some success. A couple months ago one of our neighbors trapped a female and her newborn kittens. Somehow one of them ended up here when it was barely weaned and got the impressive moniker Amy Farrah Fowler.
Amy’s feral attitude lasted only a few days. She’s spent plenty of nights sleeping on or near my wife. While her siblings and mother are living in a cattle barn Amy lounges in the hood of my parka after making a mess of the table. It’s a hard luck life.
