Our Snowmageddon resulted in over a foot of snowfall, whipped and pureed by high winds into high snow drifts. This morning I cleared off the steps by the back door (first photo) and then a path for the dogs across the deck and over to the garage (photo two). This took about twenty minutes. My back was not pleased and neither was my sixty-year-old heart. Big freaking deal.
Now it’s the afternoon and I went out for another twenty, clearing a path from the back door to the garage and out to the street. I’ve got the usual drift at the bottom end of the driveway: twenty feet by fifteen feet of snow that’s over my knees. I can cut a footpath but the rest is going to take someone with a plow or a Bobcat. I know folks with both so it will get done. And then we’ll be ready until the next March storm.
